Happy Birthday, Traveling Well For Less!
Nothing like a little self-promotion.
Last year I started the Traveling Well For Less blog with the intention of creating a place to write about travel and showcase my freelance travel writing, similar to an online resume.
Well, it didn’t quite work out that way…my published work never made it to the blog.
Instead Traveling Well For Less became a little bit of this, a little bit of that (to steal a line from Michelle Branch’s A Game of Love with Santana), an amalgamation of travel deals, frequent flyer miles and points tricks, contests, and travel tips.
The clear focus I had for this site became blurred. But in the process it’s allowed me to fill my need to write. Even if it was just writing about the latest bonus mile offer.
I hope you’ve been enjoying the journey. I promise to start posting more destinations and travel tips. All in good time.
But how about that tasty looking cake? While searching for the perfect image to represent Traveling Well For Less’s birthday I found this gorgeous travel themed birthday cake by master sugarcrafter Fiona Brook of No More Tiers.
It’s probably a good thing for my waistline that they are across the pond. Or course, there’s always FedEx…
