Hyatt Summer 2013 Promotion

Share with a friend

Just in time for summer travel, you can earn 12,000 bonus points during the Hyatt Summer 2013 promotion.

Hey, Big Spender,  Hyatt and Chase want you.

Maybe not you in particular, but your coin.

You will earn 12,000 bonus points in addition to any other points earned for the period July 1 – September 30, 2013.

2 Easy Steps to the Hyatt Summer 2013 Promotion

  1. Register for the Hyatt Summer 2013 Points Promotion by August 31, 2013.
  2. Spend $10,000 or more on your Hyatt credit card between July 1 – September 30, 2013

If you have the Hyatt credit card, be sure to check your snail mail for the Hyatt Summer 2013 Points Promotion piece.

It will come in a wax envelope and is about 8 1/2 x 5 1/2.

The promotional piece contains your 10 digit enrollment code that is required to register.

 How do I register?

Call Hyatt at 1-877-532-3803 and provide your 10 digit code by August 31, 2013.

Or go to http://hyatt.mychasebonus.com/summer12k, enter your 10 digit enrollment code by August 31, 2013.

Even if you don’t have any Hyatt stays planned for the summer, if you’re attending FTU Tampa and staying at the host hotel, the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, and paying with your Hyatt credit card, you can still participate in the Hyatt Summer 2013 promotion.

It’s better to register for every promotion because sometimes your travel plans change.

I’m anticipating a lot of stores running out of ice cream.  It sure gets hot in the summer, especially in California.

Summary of the fine print:

  • Registration by August 31, 2013 is required.
  • You must use the specified enrollment code.
  • Bonus points will be posted 6-8 weeks after purchase

I already have several Hyatt stays booked during July 1-September 30, 2013 so I’m looking forward to earning additional bonus points.

Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is the best card to get started in the world of miles and points. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 60,000 points after spending $4,000 in the first three months.

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5X points on travel when booked through the Chase portal (2X if direct purchase), 3X points on dining, $50 yearly credit on hotels booked through the Chase portal, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.

Chase Freedom Unlimited®

The Chase Freedom Unlimited® is one of my favorite cards for earning cash back card and travel rewards. It offers a welcome offer of an additional 1.5% cash back on all your purchases up to $20,000 your first year.

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5% cash back on travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal, 3% cash back at drugstores and restaurants (including delivery and takeout), 1.5% cash back on all other purchases and no annual fee. When paired with cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card or Ink Business Cash® Credit Card, you can use your points to travel for free.

I'm also in the spend 3K earn 5 category. Whew! My eyes were spinning when I was contemplating having to spend $10,000!

Hi Susan,

Glad to hear you only have to spend 3k. :)

I got the spend 3K, earn 5K promo too, which actually is more realistic for me.

Hi Will Run For Miles,

It works out great too because don't have you a bunch of hotel stays during that same time period?

There are a few different offers that people have received... some for 12k points for $5k, some for 5k points for $3k, and others in between. Or if you're really unlucky (me), you get nothing. Nice of Hyatt to do this anyway.

Hi TheSterlingTraveler,

Ouch, maybe it'll come later. Also check your email, Chase sent the same info via email today.

Hmm, the 12k for $5k offer would have been nice.

I received the mailer, but my offer was only 5,000 miles for $3k spend in 3 months

Hi Bill,

Interesting. What's your status with Hyatt? I'm Diamond, maybe that's why my offer was for 12,000 miles and $5k in spending.
