Saying Goodbye to First2Board

Share with a friend

goodbye to F2B

When MrPickles invited me to join First2Board, back in April, I took a couple of weeks to make my decision, pondering whether it was a good fit for me.

I decided that I’d give F2B a try and if it turned out not to be a good fit for me, I could always leave.  After much thought and consideration, today is that day.

It’s not a decision I’m giddy about and I’ve given it a great deal of thought.  I have nothing but good things to say about F2B and my experience as a First2Board blogger. I had a good run at F2B.

Hopefully, this breakup will still allow me visitation rights with the other F2B bloggers and that this divorce doesn’t create a permanent rift between me and the other F2B bloggers or ruffle any feathers that might require the services of a divorce lawyer.

Why this post?

Those of you who know me know I’m very transparent.  I believe in being upfront.

If I simply ignored the fact that I was leaving F2B and didn’t address the issue or post about it, my departure could create rumor, innuendo and gossip.  Since there isn’t anything unsavory about my leaving, why not talk about it.

In summary, the F2B experience was very good. I wish everyone at First2Board the greatest success.  I’ll miss the collective emails and speaking at the Charleston Sessions.  I’m sure I’ll see all of you somewhere around the world; it could even be on a Lufthansa flight.  Let’s grab some food or a drink at the Chicago Seminars.

I was looking forward to hanging out in the south with my travel girls (and guys).  I’m not a princess by any means, but ultimately I need to do what is best for me. And unfortunately for this blawger (sic), that means saying goodbye to First2Board.

Note: In case you’re wondering what the heck!  This post makes no sense.  And she’s a writer?

So indulge me if you will.  In addition to announcing my departure, my point of this post was to give each of the F2B bloggers a shoutout.)

From a reader's perspective, it makes no difference where the blog is posted at, as long as the web will let us get to it. That said, I didn't actually read or understand the particular reason why you left F2B, just the fact that you did.
