Daily Getaways are great deals on discounted travel packages

Saving Money With Daily Getaways

Beginning May 19, 2014 to June 20, 2014, you can get great deals on travel, if you act fast.

Past Daily Getaways included:

  • Travel packages (Las Vegas, New York, and more)
  • Discounted theme park tickets (Sea World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, and more)
  • Car rental discounts
  • Hotel points

You can usually get the same travel deals each year. So if you missed out last year, you have a chance this year.

You’ll get an additional 10% discount when you use your American Express card.  There’s a limit on how many of each offer you can buy.

Stay connected and act fast

You can buy Daily Getaways at 1pm EST daily. You might be able to purchase some deals in advance by liking a specific Facebook page. A code will be posted on the travel provider’s wall at Noon EST. So you’ll want to be near your computer, your smartphone or tablet.

There’s a limited number of Daily Getaways travel deals so you need to act quickly.

But you don’t have to travel immediately.  You can use your Daily Getaway deal like Groupons or Living Social coupons, and use them later. You usually have one year to redeem, so there’s no rush.

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5X points on travel when booked through the Chase portal (2X if direct purchase), 3X points on dining, $50 yearly credit on hotels booked through the Chase portal, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.

Chase Freedom Unlimited®

The Chase Freedom Unlimited® is one of my favorite cards for earning cash back card and travel rewards. It offers a welcome offer of an additional 1.5% cash back on all your purchases up to $20,000 your first year.

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5% cash back on travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal, 3% cash back at drugstores and restaurants (including delivery and takeout), 1.5% cash back on all other purchases and no annual fee.
