10% Rebate on Redeemed Hyatt Points

Share with a friend

Not sure which hotel to stay at for your next trip? If you’re using hotel points, you may want to consider staying at a Hyatt hotel. Because you can get a 10% rebate on redeemed Hyatt points through October 31, 2016.

This year’s offer isn’t as generous as last year’s 20% rebate on Hyatt points, but hey, getting 10% of your points back is better than not getting a rebate.

2 Easy Steps to a 10% Rebate on Redeemed Hyatt Points

You get 10% of your Hyatt points back on Hyatt stays booked through October 31, 2016. TravelingWellForLess.com

1.  Register for the 10% rebate promotion by August 31, 2016
2.  Use Hyatt points through October 31, 2016

You’ll get 10% of the points you use at Hyatt hotels through October 31, 2016.

Refunded points will post to your account 6 to 8 weeks after redemption.

This may be a targeted promotion for some World of Hyatt credit card holders. But you should register if you have the Hyatt credit card in case you didn’t get an email. Especially if you were already planning to use points for an award stay.

How to Get a 10% Rebate on Redeemed Hyatt Points

You can use your Hyatt points for free hotel stays, airline tickets, or car rentals.

But you only get the 10% rebate on points redeemed at Hyatt. Good thing you can use Hyatt points for more than just hotel stays. Here’s how to get a refund of 10% of your Hyatt points.

1.  Hotel Stays

Stay at the Park Hyatt Mallorca and get a 10% refund when you use Hyatt points. TravelingWellForLess.com

Award stays at Hyatt hotels like the Park Hyatt Mallorca are 10% cheaper through October 31, 2016

Use your Hyatt points for free stays or points + cash stays at any Hyatt hotel worldwide through October 31, 2016, and you can get a 10 percent rebate.

A 10% refund means you pay 18,000 points per night instead of 20,000 points a night to stay at the Park Hyatt Mallorca.

2.  Points + Cash

Grand Hyatt Kauai Beach Traveling Well For Less

Get 8,750 points when you spend a week at the Grand Hyatt Kauai using points + cash

With the 10% rebate offer, you’ll save more when you redeem Hyatt points for Points + Cash stays.

The Grand Hyatt Kauai costs 12,500 Hyatt points and $150 a night. Register for the 10% refund offer and get 1,250 points each night.

3.  Upgrades

Saatchi Suite, Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, Traveling Well For Less

Get more room and use your Hyatt points for a suite at hotels like the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill

Get 10% of your points back when you use Hyatt points to upgrade to a Regency, Grand Club room, or Suite for stays through October 31, 2016.

4.  Food

Are you short on cash but point heavy? Use Hyatt points to pay for food at participating Hyatt hotels worldwide.

This isn’t the best use of your points. So only use Hyatt points for dining if your points are expiring and you don’t have a way to earn more Hyatt points.

5.  Spa

You can also use Hyatt points for spa treatments.

But like using points for dining, this isn’t the best use of your Hyatt points.

Do I Have to Rebook My Award Stays?

Per the Gold Passport Concierge existing points, points + cash award stays booked before you registered do NOT need to be rebooked to get the 10% rebate.

Summary of the Fine Print

  • You have to be a Hyatt cardholder who was targeted
  • You have to register by August 31, 2016
  • 10% rebate on Hyatt points redeemed by October 31, 2016
  • Rebates posted 6 to 8 weeks after your redemption

Get 10% of your Hyatt points back when you redeem Hyatt points through October 31, 2016.

As a Hyatt Goldpassport member, this is super good information and I wasn't aware of the rebate. I probably missed out on points last year but now I am better informed.

Thanks for the heads up because I have Hyatt stays coming up soon.
