Update: The credit card offer in this post is no longer available. The current offer is 130,000 points. Check our travel rewards card page for the latest offers.

You can earn 130,000 points with the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass card after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 6 months of having the card.

This is the highest offer on this card. I wrote about the 100k Hilton credit card offer before.

But now the offer is for 130,000 points.

Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card

You can earn 130,000 Hilton points with the Amex Hilton Honors Surpass card after spending $3,000 in purchases in the first 3 months of opening your card.

The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card perks include:

  • 130,000 Hilton Honors points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 6 months of having the card
  • 1 free weekend night after spending $15,000 a year
  • Free Gold status (free breakfast, free upgrades, free Wi-Fi, late check-out, and 2 bottles of water)*
  • Diamond status after spending $40,000 in a calendar year
  • Free Priority Pass membership (access to over 700 airport lounges)*
  • 12 points per $1 spent at all Hilton hotels
  • 6 points per $1 spent at US restaurants, US supermarkets, & US gas stations
  • 3 points per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • Terms and limitations apply

*Enrollment is required for select benefits

The free breakfast perk is one of the best benefits especially if you travel internationally. The buffet spreads at some Hilton hotels are phenomenal!

After three nights, you’ll recover the cost of the card’s annual fee when you eat breakfast at the hotel.  Plus you get free room upgrades!

You can use this card when you travel internationally because there are no foreign transaction fees.

Airport Lounge Access

Tired of hanging out in the terminal while waiting for your flight? With the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card, you get a Priority Pass membership for airport lounges.

You get 10 free visits a year. Each additional lounge visit costs $32. Depending on how often you fly, you could save money buying a Priority Pass membership.

Or better yet. You can get free airport lounge access with these credit cards:

*Effective February 1, 2025, personal and business Reserve Card Members get 15 visits to the Delta Sky Club per year. For unlimited visits, you have to spend $75,000 or more on eligible purchases on your card between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024 and each subsequent calendar year.

Pro-tip: Here’s How to Get Into Every Airport Lounge

Who Should Get This Card

This is a great card if you stay at Hilton hotels. With over 4,900 Hilton hotels worldwide, it’s easy to find a Hilton hotel here in the US like the Grand Wailea in Hawaii or in faraway places like the Conrad Maldives.

You earn 6 extra points per $1 at restaurants, supermarkets and gas stations in the US, so you can earn a lot of points. All those trips to the grocery store add up, especially when you have boys. Can they eat!

Remember you can only get the bonus on an American Express card once. So if you’ve had this card in the past, you can’t get the bonus again.

How to Use 125,000 Hilton Points

Earlier this year Hilton stopped publishing an award chart. Instead, they use a fluid scale based on supply and demand. If it sounds like airline ticket pricing, you’re right.

Free nights start at 5,000 points and go up to 95,000 points a night. Here are a couple of ways you can use 125,000 Hilton points.

Hawaii

"You

For 125,000 points you can get 2 free nights at these Hilton hotels:

New York

125,000 Hilton points go a long way in New York if you stay at places like the Hilton Garden Inn New York Times Square South or Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown-Financial District.

Pro-tip: Elite members get the 5th night free when you book an award stay. You get Hilton Gold elite status free with the Hilton Honors Surpass card.

Fiji

You can use 125,000 points for a weekend stay in Fiji at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa or 3 nights at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel Fiji – Sonaisali Island.

Conclusion

You can earn 130,000 Hilton points from the Hilton Honors Surpass Card from American Express when you spend $3,000 in purchases in the first 6 months of getting the card.

With all the bonus categories like US restaurants and US supermarkets, it’s really easy to earn extra Hilton points every month.

I try and stay in Hilton when I can - mostly when I want to feel fancy :-) This reward program looks so worth it. The Hawaii room looks so inviting.
