Up to a 70% Bonus When You Buy United Miles

You can get up to a 70% bonus when you buy United Miles. Buying miles and using them to book flights can save you thousands of dollars on airline tickets.

For a limited time, United is offering up to a 70% bonus on United miles bought through May 2, 2018.

Pro-tip: Purchased miles do not count towards United elite status.

Should You Buy United Miles?

Not sure if you should buy United miles? I’ve written about the only time you should buy airline miles.

United miles normally cost 3.76 cents a mile. With this offer, you can buy miles for as low as $0.022 cents per mile!

Pro-tip: United counts bonus mile against the 150,000-mile yearly cap on purchased miles.

So it makes sense to buy the maximum amount of miles you can during a bonus promotion. Because there’s no guarantee they’ll offer another Cyber Tuesday 100% bonus offer.

If you need miles for a free ticket or to upgrade from coach to Business or First Class, now is a good time to buy United miles.

You don’t earn a travel bonus buying miles because the purchase goes through Points.com. So use a card that you need to meet the minimum spending.

Pro-tip: It can take up to 48 hours before your miles post. So be sure to buy miles at least 2 days before you want to use them to book a free flight.
