Passports With Purpose: 2 Night San Diego Craft Beer Tour Package

Share with a friend

Calling all craft beer lovers!

Have we got a deal for you!  $10 could get you a 2 Night San Diego Craft Beer Tour Package.

For our Passports with Purpose travel blogger fundraising prize, we've put together a 2 Night San Diego Craft Beer Tour Package!

The 5 best North County San Diego beers
You Could Enjoy A Flight Of Tasty Brews From Iron Fist Brewing Company

Yep, you read that right. This beer-hating blogger (okay, maybe not a beer hater, but someone whose first order at the bar isn't always beer) has procured a craft beer package to give away.

Raise a pint, grab your wallet, and get ready to donate!

You could win 2 nights in San Diego drinking brews.

This 2 Night San Diego Craft Beer Tour package includes:

This prize is valued at $530, and you could win it with a simple $10 donation.

You must be at least 21 years old to redeem beer vouchers.  Hyatt hotel stay is subject to availability and blackout dates at the discretion of the hotel.  Hyatt certificate expires December 31, 2014.

A Craft Brewery On Every Corner

I'm pretty excited about this package.  San Diego North County is rapidly becoming one of the largest areas of craft breweries, with more breweries scheduled to open in the next few months.  There are over 14 craft breweries in a 6 mile radius.  With that many breweries in one area, it makes sense to spend a few nights to really sample all the brews.

The totally cool, philantropic general manager at the Hyatt Place San Diego/Vista-Carlsbad donated a 2 night stay.  Even though it's only a few miles from my home, I've stayed at this Hyatt Place several times.  With free WiFi and breakfast, it's the perfect staycation and any easy way to earn Hyatt points or requalify for Hyatt Diamond. It's only a 5 minute drive to Iron Fist Brewing Company. And the beach is about 10 minutes away.

We know bloggers, at least the ones who attend TBEX like to drink. So if anything, they will at least donate to win our prize.  But we think you, our faithful readers, will donate as well.

2 Vanilla Reload Fees

A donation is only $10. Think of it as: 2 Starbucks, 2 ½ Vanilla Reload fees, or almost 2 gift card fees.  A small price to help build schools and fund adult literacy programs in Mali, Africa.

Earn Miles and Points

You'll earn miles and points because you make your donation with a credit card through PayPal.

Passports with Purpose is a 501(c)3 organization.  So if you use your US Bank FlexPerks card, you could earn 3x points for charity.  Or 2X points on all purchases with your Barclays Arrivals card.

How It Works

For each tax-deductible $10 you donate between November 25, 2013, at 11:59 EST and December 9, 2013, at 11:59pm EST, you'll be entered to win our prize or one of the hundreds of prizes available.  When you donate you list which prize you want to win.  The winner will be randomly chosen so the more times you donate, you increase your odds of winning.

You can donate here.

If you decide to donate, I'd love it if you left a comment below.

This year's goal is to raise $116,000 so that buildOn can build three schools and fund three adult literacy programs in the Sikasso region of southern Mali, Africa.

The widget will show you how much has been raised.

Passports with Purpose

Passports with Purpose (#PwP) is an annual travel blogger fundraiser that gives travel bloggers a chance to give back.

The 2013 Passports with Purpose travel bloggers get a prize for a random draw at the end of the fundraising drive. Legally you don't have to donate to win, but donations are greatly appreciated and 100% of all funds go directly to build schools in Africa.  Winners for each prize are drawn at the end of the fundraiser and will be notified by the travel blogger who obtained the prize.  A complete list of winners will be posted on Passports with Purpose.

  2. San Diego is on my travel list for next year, so I entered. 🙂 I'm giving away a 2-night stay in Napa Valley as part of Passports with Purpose.

    1. Hi Jenna,

Awesome. I bid on your package too, as I've never been to Napa. It would be great if we both won. 🙂

    1. Hey Cassie,

Awesome. Even if you don't win, you can still come down and we'll do another brewery tour. 4 more breweries have opened up since you and Kevin were here last year. 🙂

      1. Wow, I will take you up on that! The San Diego brew scene is "poppin' " (as the kids say)

BTW, I'm going to the LA Times Travel Show next month. If you are too, I'd love to see you!
