Royal Caribbean Group introduces a ground-breaking, or should we say, ocean-breaking, concept loyalty program: Points Choice. Instead of earning cruise points from the cruise you’re on, you can choose the cruise line to credit those points.

What is Points Choice?
Points Choice allows you to apply the points you earn on one cruise line to the cruise line of your choice. You can earn status faster with the cruise line of your choice. This revolutionary concept is only available for Royal Caribbean Group cruise lines: Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises.
With Points Choice, you can continue to build status with your preferred cruise line. So if you’re close to Pinnacle on Royal Caribbean and you’re sailing on Celebrity, instead of earning Celebrity Captain’s Club points for your cruise, you can earn Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor points.
Pro-tip: The flexibility of Points Choice means you’re that much closer to elite status with one cruise.
When does Points Choice Start?
You can participate in Points Choice in early 2026. More details, the conversion rates between the programs, the exact start date, and other specifics are coming.
In an ideal world, you would be able to change your choice for every cruise. Realistically, Points Choice will probably require you to select one cruise line for the calendar year or longer. So you wouldn’t be able to bounce back and forth each cruise. But we’ll know more soon.
Pro-tip: Points Choice only applies to the cruise loyalty program. Points earned through the casino loyalty programs for Royal Caribbean Casino Royale and Celebrity Cruises Blue Chip are not affected by Points Choice.
Does Points Choice Work for Current Points?
Points Choice won’t affect current loyalty points. Your current Royal Caribbean Crown & Anchor, Celebrity Captain’s Club, and Silverseas Venetian Society points will remain the same once Points Choice begins. You can not apply Points Choice retroactively for cruise points you’ve already earned.
Only loyalty points earned on cruises departing after Points Choice starts will have the option to be credited to you’re preferred cruise line.
Conclusion
In early 2026, under Royal Caribbean Group’s Points Choice program, cruisers can choose which loyalty program points they want to earn when sailing on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silverseas.
This will allow guests to build status in the loyalty program of their choice.
