Merinte Money Belt With RFID Passport Holder and Credit Card Scanning Protection

Share with a friend

money belt comes in handy when you’re traveling to other countries.  Because it offers another level of protection and security by giving you another place for your money, passport, and credit cards.

Disclosure: I received the Merinte Money Belt with RFID Passport Holder and Credit Card Scanning Protection in exchange for my unbiased review.  All opinions are 100% mine.

I don’t always travel with a money belt, but I’ve worn mine in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and brought it with me when I visited Israel, Dubai, and China.

Even if you don’t wear it, you can keep your loose change and other valuables in the money belt in your bag or locked in the safe while roaming the city.

Some money belts, like the Merinte Money Belt made by Merseylea International, offer RFID protection to help prevent electronic pickpocketing where thieves scan your credit cards.

Keep your valuables close when traveling

The Merinte Money Belt With RFID Passport Holder and Credit Card Scanning Protection offers:

  • 3 pockets (2 on the front and 1 in the back)
  • RFID protection of your credit cards and passport
  • Anti-theft belt loop
  • Strong buckle clasp
  • Ability to be worn both inside or outside your clothes
  • 12 month warranty
  • 2 color choices (black or blue)

RFID

The two front pockets are separated by an RFID lining.  You can fit your passport in either of the front pockets.

Your passport fits in either front pocket

The larger of the two pockets has three sewn in slots for credit cards.  You can store up to 5 credit cards in each of the three slots.  So you could bring 15 credit or debit cards.

But traveling with that many credit cards is not a good idea. So choose a few credit cards that don’t charge foreign transaction fees and leave the rest at home.

Wearing a money belt isn’t as easy as it sounds. Sometimes these things are tricky.

Some money belts have a sliding clasp that can easily come undone. Thankfully, the Merinte money belt has a three prong clasp that holds tight.

How to Prevent Embarrassing Money Belt Moments

There’s even a belt loop.

Attach to your belt loop to prevent theft or “droppage”

Not only will that belt loop save you from someone taking a knife and slashing the strap, but it’ll save you from what I like to call “droppage.”  Or a “traveling money belt.”

Let’s put it this way. You start the day with your money belt secured comfortably around your waist. But after a few hours of walking around, you might find that your money belt has gone on a walk about and has traveled south around your fanny.  Once my money belt ended up down by my ankle.

Yeah, picture that. Me standing in an alley reaching up my pant leg and pulling out my money belt.

You can avoid that by using the belt loop.

So Thin No One Can Tell You’re Wearing One

The Merinte money belt with RFID passport holder and credit card scanning is thin and comfortable to wear.

And no one can tell you’re wearing it under your clothes.

You’ll be able to walk around without anyone knowing you’re wearing a money belt.

Rest easy while traveling by wearing your valuables in a money belt under your clothes

You can buy the Merinte Money Belt with RFID Passport Holder and Credit Card Scanning Protection on Amazon for $24.97.

Conclusion

All money belts can be worn both above and under clothing.  But the three things that make the Merinte Money Belt with RFID Passport Holder and Credit Card Scanning Protection stand out over other money belts are RFID protection, belt loop, and a secure clasp.
