Why You Should Double Check Your US Airways Flights Next Week
Do you have flights booked on US Airways? You'll want to brace yourself and double-check your flights.
Because American Airlines and US Airways will be moving to one reservation system on October 17, 2015.
So all reservations on US Airways for flights will be transferred to American Airlines starting July 18, 2015. This only applies to all US Airways flights for travel on or after October 17, 2015. Your flight will not change if you travel before October 16, 2015.
This means that your US Airways flights will become American Airlines flights. You'll receive an an email from American Airlines with:
- Your itinerary
- American Airlines flight number/s
- New confirmation number (record locator)
Look for an email with the subject line titled, "An important update to your reservation."
If you booked through a travel agent, you can access your reservation online at the American Airlines website on July 20, 2015.
