$2,845 First Class British Airways Amsterdam to Johannesburg

Share with a friend

Okay, I get it some of you are thinking, “What the hey! I ain’t paying $2,845 for a flight! Even if it is in First Class.” But sometimes you’ve got to pony up the big bucks to get what you want. And with $2,845 First Class British Airways Amsterdam to Johannesburg flights, this can be a good deal. Here’s why…

$2,845 First Class British Airways Amsterdam to Johannesburg

The $2,845 round-trip First Class flights from Amsterdam to Johannesburg are valid for travel on British Airways from the end of June 2016 through April 2017.

Depending on which safari park you visit, you could see the Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo).

But how do I get to Amsterdam?

If you live in the US, you can book cheap flights to Amsterdam on Wow or Norwegian from $356 round-trip.

Why Book First Class

1. Get More for Your Money

If you were already planning to fly to Johannesburg in premium economy, you’d pay $1,108. And that’s just for economy! Where you’re sitting upright, your meals come in a plastic tray, and you’re packed in like sardines. You could pay a little more than double to get a flat bed seat with a mattress in a private suite, meals served on plates, all the alcohol you can drink, spa treatments (in the lounge before your flight), and so much more when you fly First Class on British Airways. First Class to Johannesburg for $2,845. Traveling Well For Less

2. More Miles or Points

The round-trip flight from Amsterdam to Johannesburg is 17,092 miles. You get at least 30,700 British Airways Avios points when you buy a First Class ticket. If you credit the flight to American Airlines, you’ll earn 17,092 American Airlines miles, 25,638 elite qualifying miles, and a 50% class of service bonus. Or you can credit the flight to Alaska Airlines and earn 51,276 Alaska Airlines miles. Which gets you a one-way Business Class ticket to Japan, Korea, and Asia. 51,276 miles is just a little shy of a one-way Business Class ticket to Fiji and Australia.

Take an Extra $400 Off

Unfortunately, the British Airways AARP deal that lets you get an extra $400 off a Business or First Class flight doesn’t work on this flight.

I tried. But if you’ve managed to get it to work, please share in the comments.

Thanks to FlyerTalk for letting me know about this deal.
