  1. Wow, did you do a 'mattress run'?

Does the stay have to happen before Nov 16, or do you just have to make the booking with the mobile app before then?

    1. Hi Chris,

      Yep, I did a mattress run. 🙂

You have to complete your stay before November 16, 2014.

  2. Hi Debbie,

Thanks so much for sharing the post on promotions .. definitely a great way to sneak in some extra points! Was just wondering if this was a positive ROI for you guys (assuming you got free breakfast, enjoyed the bottled waters or any welcome gift, etc.) given it is able to purchase GoldPoints directly at about 142 pts/$. I'm seeing about $90 to purchase 13k points directly from Carlson, assuming they're not running any type of promo, etc.

What would be the benefit of this type of mattress run versus just purchasing some points directly to top up, etc.?

    Happy Holidays!
    Anthony

    1. Hi Anthony,

For me it was worth the ROI because I was able to test to see if stacking the promotions worked.

I had an early flight out the following day so I stayed at the hotel which meant an extra hour of sleep and not having to wake up my husband at 0'dark thirty. 🙂

You can definitely buy points for less ($7 gets you 1,000 Club Carlson points), if that's your ultimate goal.

But if you have any upcoming hotel stays, by stacking all the promotions, it could be worth it to stay at a Club Carlson. Assuming you don't need stays for elite status at other hotels.

      1. Splendid. That makes sense :). I've been guilty of sneaking in a hotel stay before an early morning flight myself. So happy to see I'm not the only one!
