You can't load your Target REDcard with a credit card. However, you can load your Target REDcard with a pin-enabled gift card.

Just like Bluebird and Serve, you can load up to $2,500 a day ($5,000 a month) to your Target REDcard with pin-enabled gift cards.
You have to go to Walmart to load your Bluebird and Serve card. But with the Target REDcard, you can load your REDcard at Target. This is great for people who don't have a Walmart nearby (or don't like going to Walmart) or live or work near a Target.
Which Pin Enabled Gift Cards Can Be Loaded to Target REDcard
1. Gift Cards Bought at Office Supply Stores
You can buy fixed rate Visa and MasterCard gift cards at Staples, Office Depot and Office Max in $25, $50, $100, and $200 denominations with a credit card.
Variable rate gift cards are also available at Office Depot and Office Max, but you can not purchase them using a credit card.
All gift cards sold at Office Depot, Office Max, and Staples can be loaded to your Target REDcard.
2. Gift Cards Bought at Drug Stores
You can buy fixed rate and variable load Visa and MasterCard gift cards at drug stores with a miles and points earning and cash back credit card.
Both fixed rate and variable load Visa and MasterCard gift cards sold at participating grocery stores can be loaded to a Target REDcard.
Use a card like the Citi Hilton HHonors Visa Signature card and earn 3X Hilton points at drug stores.
3. Gift Cards Bought at Gas Stations
Many grocery stores sell fixed rate and variable load Visa and MasterCard gift cards. However, not all gas stations will let you purchase gift cards with a credit card.
Visa and MasterCard gift cards sold at gas stations can be loaded to a Target REDcard.
You'll earn 6X Hilton points at gas stations when you pay with your American Express Hilton Surpass card.
4. Gift Cards Bought at Grocery Stores
You can purchase fixed rate and variable load Visa and MasterCard gift cards at grocery stores with a credit card.
All MasterCard and Visa gift cards bought at grocery stores can be loaded to a Target REDcard.
5. Simon Mall Gift Cards
Variable load Visa gift cards bought at Simon Mall with a credit card can be loaded to Target REDcard.
6. Macerich Mall Gift Cards
You can buy variable load Visa gift cards at Macerich Mall with a credit card.
Macerich Mall gift cards can be loaded to Target REDcard.
7. Gift Cards Bought at Target
Fixed rate Visa gift cards can be bought at Target with a credit card and loaded to a Target REDcard.
(I wasn't able to test this yesterday because I only had 1 Target REDcard to load, so please let me know if this is no longer true.)
8. Gift Cards Bought at Walmart
You can buy fixed rate and variable load gift cards at Walmart with a credit card.
These cards can be loaded to a Target REDcard.

Why would one load load gift cards to a Target Card?
Hi SC,
The Target REDcard allows you to pay bills and you get 5% off when you shop at Target. So instead of using cash you used to be able to load gift cards bought with credit cards to your Target REDcard.
However, Target stopped allowing gift and debit card loads to their REDcard in October.
