New Zealand was featured when the Sunday Someday series started, but it's still on my bucket list.
Charli from Wander Lusters was kind enough to share these photos from her trip to Fiordland National Park.

Fiordland National Park is 2 hours from Queenstown and 8 hours from Christchurch.
If you want the best weather, you should visit New Zealand during September to April. But if you want to ski, the best months are July through September.
How to get to New Zealand using miles and points
You can fly to New Zealand using airline miles and points.
The cheapest way to get to New Zealand is to use 35,000 American Airlines miles to fly 1-way in coach.
If a long flight in coach doesn't appeal to you, you can fly 1-way in Business Class for 55,000 Alaska Airlines miles.
You can pay 72,500 American Airlines miles to fly 1-way in First Class. American Airlines partners with Qantas so you could fly First Class on the A380.
Besides Fiordland National Park, what are the other must sees in New Zealand?

Another option to is to fly United out of LAX to AKL one way for 40,000 miles per person! : )
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the tip. 🙂
I'm going to eventually evolve the Sunday Someday series again to include award ticket redemption rates from all the airlines vs just the cheapest.
