The Sunday Someday weekly series features bucket list destinations and how to get there using miles and points.
Today’s Sunday Someday is Pleasanton.
Late fall and early spring are the best times to visit Pleasanton if you want moderate temperatures.
You can use airline miles and points to fly to Oakland, San Jose or San Francisco. From San Francisco and Oakland you can take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to get to Dublin and then take a bus to Pleasanton. A roundtrip coach ticket cost 25,000 airlines miles.
Southwest Airlines also flies to Oakland, San Jose and San Francisco. If you have the Southwest Companion Pass, you and a companion can fly for free. If you don’t have the Southwest Companion Pass, the bonus from two Southwest credit cards can almost get you there.
Have you been to Pleasanton?
