Top 4 Things To Do On Memorial Day*

*A nontraditional look at a very traditional holiday because sometimes levity is needed.

This is not intended to disparage the men and women who have given everything for my freedom.  I am extremely grateful and humbled by their sacrifice.

In my search for Memorial Day events, I came across the number one which lead me down the rabbit hole searching other nontraditional Memorial Day events.

4.  Ohio Ice Cream Festival

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.  Because when I think of honoring fallen soliders, ice cream immediately comes to mind.  Not.

3. LAPD’s Walk the Talk Parade

LAPD as in Los Angeles Poverty Department. What? Did you think I meant this LAPD?

2. Captain Morgan’s Club Pig Roast

Aargh, aye matey, well shiver my timbers if I didn’t want to eat roast pig with a bunch of wenches on Memorial Day.

1. NYC Zombie Crawl  Old poster but I like this image better than this year’s.

Can you think of a better way to celebrate Memorial Day than with a Zombie crawl? I sure can’t.
