You can earn 10,000 points per two night stay at any Carlson Rezidor Asia Pacific hotel.  These are bonus points in addition to your normal 20 Gold Points per dollar spent.

To be eligible for the 10,000 points bonus you must:

1) Register before your stay

Register for the Club Carlson 10,000 points per two night stay promotion here.

2) Stay two or more consecutive nights between July 17 – September 30, 2012

At any Carlson Rezidor Asia Pacific hotel (Radisson Blu, Radisson®, Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM, Park Inn by Radisson and Park Plaza® )

BONUS:

Combine the 10,000 points per two night stay promotion with Club Carlson’s Asia Pacific Hot Deals and SAVE 30%.

Maximize this promotion:

If you’re staying 4 nights, get 20,000 points vs only 10,000 points by breaking up your hotel stay.

Example: Stay 2 nights at the Radisson Blu Sydney and earn the bonus 10,000 points per two night stay. Then stay 2 nights at the Radisson Hotel & Suites Sydney and earn the bonus 10,000 points per two night stay.  For a total of 20,000 bonus points vs only 10,000 points if you stayed at only one hotel.

The fine print can be read here.

Chase Sapphire Preferred

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for beginning travel hackers. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 60,000 points (after spending $4,000 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 2X points on travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.

Chase Freedom Unlimited

The Chase Freedom Unlimited is one of my favorite cards for earning cash back card and travel rewards. It offers a welcome offer of $200 (after spending $500 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5% cash back at grocery stores the first 12 months (up to $12k), unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases and no annual fee. When paired with cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can use your points to travel for free.
