Spend the winter in Stockholm

You’ll get the lowest prices flying on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

270 euros is about $285

But (yeah, there always seems to be a but…) these deals are only for travel from January 2016 to February 2016.

And you’ll pay fees to check your bags and pick your seats.

Not in New York?

If you aren’t in New York, you can use miles and points to get there.

You can use your Southwest Companion Pass (if two of you are traveling together) or find a cheap flight.

But I wouldn’t spend a lot of miles and points to get to New York because it might be cheaper to just use miles to get to Stockholm.

$499 Round-trip to Stockholm

$499 are you out of your mind?

And if you’re based on the West Coast, or don’t want to have to bundle up in a parka, these airfare deals might be more tempting.

You can fly from Oakland to Stockholm for $499 round-trip.

$498 round-trip to Stockholm

Spring in Stockholm for decent prices

And the best part, it’s during the Spring!  More specifically, for travel in April 2016 and May 2016.

Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is the best card to get started in the world of miles and points. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 60,000 points after spending $4,000 in the first three months.

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5X points on travel when booked through the Chase portal (2X if direct purchase), 3X points on dining, $50 yearly credit on hotels booked through the Chase portal, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.

Chase Freedom Unlimited®

The Chase Freedom Unlimited® is one of my favorite cards for earning cash back card and travel rewards. It offers a welcome offer of an additional 1.5% cash back on all your purchases up to $20,000 your first year.

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5% cash back on travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal, 3% cash back at drugstores and restaurants (including delivery and takeout), 1.5% cash back on all other purchases and no annual fee.
