3 day global sale qatar airways

If you’re dreamed of flying on Qatar Airways take a look at their 3 Day Global Sale happening now.

Save on Economy and Business Class Fares on Qatar Airways when you book between November 7 – November 9, 2012.

Fares are valid for travel from November 12, 2012 – May 31, 2013.

3 Day Global Sale Fares on Qatar Airways

From To All-inclusive fare
Chicago (ORD) Bali (DPS) 1,237 USD*
Chicago (ORD) Singapore (SIN) 1,190 USD*
Houston (IAH) Kuala Lumpur (KUL) 1,207 USD*
Houston (IAH) Mumbai (BOM) 1,156 USD*
Houston (IAH) Nairobi (NBO) 1,234 USD*
New York (JFK) Dubai (DXB) 1,007 USD*
New York (JFK) Kathmandu (KTM) 1,219 USD*
Washington, DC (IAD) Bangkok (BKK) 1,230 USD*
Washington, DC (IAD) Kolkata (CCU) 1,285 USD*
Washington, DC (IAD) Islamabad (ISB) 964 USD*

I put in some sample dates and am coming up with even cheaper roundtrip rates than listed above.

For example: New York to Dubai (JFK-DXB) for $947.
JFK-DXB for $947 Qatar Airways New York to Dubai

The fine print highlights:

  • Sale prices are valid for W, V, Z, and A class fares
  • Blackout dates: December 14 – 23, 2012 and January 2 – 14, 2013
  • Minimum stay of 3 days required
  • Maximum of 1 month stay allowed
  • Stopovers not allowed
  • Upgrades using miles are not allowed
  • Fares are valid on Qatar Airways operated flights, except for:  itineraries originating from Indonesia, Iran, Libya, and South Africa; flights to and from Amritsar, Budapest, Geneva, Goa, Kozhikode, Manila, Montreal, and Zagreb; flights between Denpasar/Bali and Singapore, Hanoi and Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires; itineraries to Doha as a final destination (excluding transit in Doha), except itineraries originating from Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Itineraries requiring a transit in Doha are allowed.

To read the fine print in depth and search for fares during the 3 day global sale, visit the Qatar website.

While these aren’t stellar rates, the fares being offered by Qatar Airways during the 3 day global sale are worth taking a look since you get to fly on Qatar.  Now I just need to play around with some dates and see what I can find…

How about you? Will you be booking a ticket during the Qatar Airways 3 day global sale?

Chase Sapphire Preferred

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for beginning travel hackers. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 60,000 points (after spending $4,000 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 2X points on travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.

Chase Freedom Unlimited

The Chase Freedom Unlimited is one of my favorite cards for earning cash back card and travel rewards. It offers a welcome offer of $200 (after spending $500 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5% cash back at grocery stores the first 12 months (up to $12k), unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases and no annual fee. When paired with cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can use your points to travel for free.
