You can book one-way flights from $39 on Southwest for travel from September 8, 2015 to March 3, 2016.  But tickets have to be purchased by 11:59 p.m. on August 24, 2015.

  • $39 each way to Akron-Canton
  • $39 one-way to Columbus
  • $39 each way to Indianapolis
  • $139 one-way to Las Vegas
  • $89 each way to New Orleans
  • $89 one-way to Tampa

From Seattle:

  • $127 one-way to Dallas
  • $104 each way to Denver
  • $136 one-way to Las Vegas
  • $79 each way to San Jose

From Los Angeles:

  • $59 one-way to San Francisco
  • $93 each way to Portland

From Chicago:

  • $180 each way to Seattle
  • $89 each way to Washington, DC

Blackout Dates

Cheap tickets usually come with blackout dates.  For these $39 flights from Southwest you can’t fly on Friday or Sunday.

And if you’re flying to or from Florida or Nevada, these fares are only valid on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Remember to check any existing Southwest tickets. Because you can get a flight credit if the cost of your ticket has gone down.  I saved $13, enough to a couple of drinks or lunch…

It’s time to start planning a few trips because these fares are valid for travel through March 3, 2016.

But all tickets have to be bought by August 24, 2015.

If you already purchased tickets, be sure to double-check to see if the prices dropped.  If the price for your flight is now less than what you paid, submit a reservation change for a flight credit.
