Being upgraded to a suite, enjoying free breakfast, free parking, and no resort fees. All these perks and more can be yours when you stay at Hyatt hotels worldwide. To become a Hyatt Globalist you have to stay 60 nights a year at Hyatt hotels. But here's how to get Hyatt Globalist status for free.

Globalist is Hyatt's top-tier elite status. If you stay 60 nights a year at Hyatt hotels you can earn Hyatt Globalist status. But now you don't have to.

We've partnered with Hyatt and you can get Hyatt Globalist status for free.

Hyatt Globalist

There are four membership levels in the World of Hyatt loyalty program (formerly Hyatt Goldpassport):

  • Member
  • Discoverist
  • Explorist
  • Globalist

When you join the World of Hyatt you receive member status. After staying 10 nights in a year or earning 25,000 base points, you become a Discoverist. With 30 nights or 50,000 base points, you reach the Explorist level. And after 60 nights or 100,000 base points, you earn Globalist status.

  1. Hello,

Thank you for the opportunity! I'm a huge Hyatt fan.

I'd use my new status at the Hyatt Andaz Amsterdam while visiting family in that wonderful city!

And - I'm a fan of your blog. Keep writing!

    Fingers crossed ....

  2. We'll be in China and Hong Kong in 2 weeks and will be staying at the Hyatt. It's not my 1st choice since we don't have status.

  3. This would be great to have!! I wouldn't mind having this to fully enjoy all (or at least most) Hyatt Perks. Thanks!

  4. My wife and I plan to go to Park Hyatt Zurich and Park Hyatt Milan, this Globalist status would be so perfect for them!

  5. Hi!

I would use it at the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, which we just booked for 6 nights for our honeymoon using Chase points (amazing value)! The free breakfast and possible room upgrade would be the cherry on top of an already wonderful year.

    Thanks and love your blog!

    Audrey

  6. This is awesome! We stay at Hyatt whenever we travel, most recently in Long Beach, CA. We're headed to Dallas next - staying at one of the Hyatt properties there! Thank you for the chance to win!

  7. My wife just retired last year and I personally have seven weeks of vacation I can now use each year (over 30 plus years at the same company). As a result we are traveling once sometimes twice in a month. Many of our stays are Hyatt hotels. Having Hyatt Globalist would certainly enhance our hotel experience and expand our waistlines (all the included breakfast food -LOL). Our next trip is over Easter weekend when we are flying down to San Antonio and staying at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk. If you would choose to bestow upon me Hyatt Globalist status.. I can guarantee it will get used and used often over the next year. Of course the Hotel I would really like to use it on is the Grand Hyatt Kauai. We are going to Hawaii again in late October of this year so that would come in quite handy having Globalist status .

  8. Thank you for the opportunity. My family and I would greatly benefit from the free breakfast and potential for suite upgrades.

  9. Park Hyatt Maldives. Always wanted to go there, and an elite status will make the experience so much sweeter.

  10. We would like to benefit from the Globalist Status during our next vacation in May at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Bali

  11. Wow! Thanks for the awesome opportunity! My wife and I stay at Hyatt's pretty regularly thanks to points and enjoy our Discoverist status we gained from the Hyatt credit card. We are expecting our first child this year and so I want to surprise my wife by taking her on a combined baby-moon/anniversary trip to the Park Hyatt Maldives. It would be so great to not have to stress about paying for breakfast and of course getting to enjoy extra time at other Hyatt properties with extra late checkout and no resort fees.

Congrats to whoever is fortunate enough to win this giveaway, and thank you to Debra and Hyatt for the awesome opportunity!

  12. Hello Debra,
I have been intrigued by the Park Hyatt for years, so that's where I would go first as a Globalist!

  13. I've never stayed at a Hyatt property before, but they are constantly praised by colleagues and travel bloggers and I really want to give them a chance!
I usually stay at another hotel opposite the Hyatt Regency in Cologne, Germany and overlook it from my window. I'd love to have my first stay at that hotel and hopefully many more 🙂

  14. Would love globalist status for our honeymoon at the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome and Park Hyatt Maldvies Hadahaa

  15. Hi Debra!

I’ve been following your blog for a couple of years, just kind of hanging in the background and absorbing your travel expertise. Your post about free things to do in Vienna made my trip there so much more fulfilling, and you might not remember but your Machu Picchu post a couple of years ago inspired my first ever use of miles (and has now led to a full-out miles addiction!).

However, when I saw on twitter that you were now giving away Globalist status for free…I just had to say thank you for all of your useful, insightful and well-written posts/tips/recommendations on top of your giveaways. The generosity simply amazes me....

We have a nice two week trip to Taipei and Singapore next month where we redeemed many of our points for the Grand Hyatts at both locations, then a quick stop at the Park Hyatt in Tokyo on the way back. The Globalist status would make our trip particularly unforgettable with the ease of checkin/checkout, possible upgrades, and most importantly ~ free breakfast for my 5 person traveling circus (featuring my 4 year old son and a pair of twins that are his backup singers).

Either way, I'’d be more than happy to share our reviews of each of the Hyatt properties on out trip next month, and I just want to say thank you one more time for all of your helpful and amazing posts!

    Mike

    1. Hi Mike,

Just circling back on this, hope you had a great trip. I'd love to feature your reviews of your Hyatt stays. Feel free to send them to me via emaiil.

  16. Thanks so much for the giveaway! I'd use it at the famed Park Hyatt Tokyo - the breakfast looks awesome!

  17. How I would love to bet that free status! I'm sure my girlfriend will be thrilled with the surprise upgrades she will suddenly get.

  18. Hi Debra!

I was just wondering if you had picked a winner for your Globalist giveaway yet...I had eagerly been awaiting news of a winner haha!

    Anyway, thanks again

    Audrey

    1. Hi Audrey,

I did pick a winner but didn't announce it. I'll add an announcement to Saturday's weekly roundup post.

  19. Hi Debra,
If you are partner of Hyatt , Is there anyway to get Hyatt Globalist ? I' like to purchase the status if you have a way. or another way . Thank you so much,

    1. Hi Kim,

The free Globalist offer was a limited time special promo with Hyatt. But you can get Hyatt Globalist status by using points. Award stays count towards status - https://www.travelingwellforless.com/2017/12/28/world-of-hyatt-count-award-stays-towards-elite-status/.

You can also get 500 to 1,000 bonus points per night when you stay at Hyatt hotels - https://www.travelingwellforless.com/2018/02/15/1000-bonus-points-a-night-hyatt/.

If you're short on points you can transfer Ultimate Rewards points, get the Hyatt credit card (40k points), or apply for one of the many Ultimate Rewards earning cards.
