Maximizing the Chase Freedom 5% Cash Back on Gas and at Kohl’s

Gas

1) Vanilla Reloads

Some gas stations will allow you to use a credit card to purchase Vanilla Reloads.

2) Variable load gift cards

You can use a credit card at gas stations to buy variable load gift cards (Visa and Mastercard).  Not all gas stations carry variable load gift cards.

Kohl’s

1) Gift cards

A complete list of gift cards carried by Kohl’s is listed in my post how to maximize your Chase Freedom 3rd quarter bonus at gas stations and Kohl’s.

2) Holiday Shopping or Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)

You can buy small electronics to resell on Amazon.  Or you could skip Amazon and start shopping now for the holidays.

I like to activate my 5X cash back right away so I don’t forget about it.  Do you activate your 5X cash back early or do you wait until the last minute?

Note:  The link to the Chase Freedom card is provided as a courtesy. I do not receive a commission on this card.
