Beginning March 22, 2014, American Express Card Members will lose access to American Airlines Admirals Club and US Airways Club airport lounges.

One of the benefits of the Business Platinum Card from American Express, Platinum American Express Card, or Mercedes-Benz Platinum card is the Airport Club Access/Airport Lounge program.

The Airport Club Access/Airport Lounge program gives card members free access to airport lounges.

After March 22, 2014, American Express card members will only have access to the following airport lounges:

      • Participating Delta Sky Club® lounges
      • Priority Pass™ Select (1,000 airport lounges worldwide) Enrollment is required for select benefits
      • Airspace Lounges in New York (JFK), Cleveland (CLE) and the Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) airports
      • Centurion Lounges in Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) and Las Vegas (LAS)

While there are only two Centurion Lounges currently open, more are scheduled to open in other airports.

And you get free food and drinks in the Centurion Lounge.

  1. that sucks///////// can't amex do something to get this together they keep losing more and more benes... and less airlines reciprocity not good....

    1. Hi Dot,

I'm not sure who decided to end the relationship: AA or Amex. But if you have a Platinum Amex, you can access the Centurion Lounge.

I have an Admirals Club membership so I use that for AA lounges.

If you don't want to pay for access, there's a 60k offer the the Citi Executive card that gives you lounge access. But the annual fee is $450.
