double miles to sydney

If you’re planning to visit Australia this year you can earn double miles to Sydney or Brisbane when traveling on Hawaiian Airlines.

Hawaiian Airlines has brought back the double miles to Sydney promotion, and they’ve added double miles to Brisbane.  (I posted about the initial double miles to Sydney on Hawaiian Airlines promotion in this post.)

Here’s how you can earn double miles to Sydney or Brisbane on Hawaiian Airlines:

1) Book your flight between September 3 – September 30, 2012

  • To qualify for the double miles promotion you must use the special BOOK NOW button on the double miles to Sydney Hawaiian Airlines page found here.
  • Then click Redeem Certificate to book your flight.

2) Travel September 5, 2012 – March 31, 2013.

3) Fly from any of the following cities to Sydney or Brisbane

  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • New York, NY
  • Oakland, CA
  • Phoenix, AZ
  • Portland, OR
  • Sacramento, CA
  • San Diego, CA
  • San Francisco, CA
  • San Jose, CA
  • Seattle, WA

Valid for bookings made June 5 – June 30, 2012.  For travel June 5 – December 31, 2012.

Chase Sapphire Preferred

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for beginning travel hackers. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 60,000 points (after spending $4,000 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 2X points on travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.

Chase Freedom Unlimited

The Chase Freedom Unlimited is one of my favorite cards for earning cash back card and travel rewards. It offers a welcome offer of $200 (after spending $500 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5% cash back at grocery stores the first 12 months (up to $12k), unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases and no annual fee. When paired with cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can use your points to travel for free.
