Get Double Points at Hyatt

Whether you’re planning on staying at the Park Hyatt Mallorca, the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, the Hyatt Regency London Churchill, or the Hyatt Place Las Vegas, you can earn double points.

You’ll earn double points at Hyatt on hotel stays through December 31, 2017. But you have to register by November 30, 2017.

When you stay at Hyatt you earn 5 points per $1 spent. With this promotion, you’ll earn 10 points for every $1 you spend.

You’ll get double points on the base amount of your hotel cost. Points earned through this offer are bonus points. So they won’t count towards earning elite status such as Globalist. Nor do they count towards lifetime points.

All reservations have to be booked through Hyatt.com or the World of Hyatt app. Stays at M life hotels count IF booked through the World of Hyatt app or the Hyatt website.

There is no limit to how many double points you can earn. So the more stays you have, the more points you’ll earn.

This is an easy way to earn extra points, especially if you were planning on staying at Hyatt hotels through the end of the year. You don’t have to cancel your existing reservations. Because they are eligible to earn double points.

Pro-tip: Your World of Hyatt profile has to show earn base points vs earn miles. Or you won’t get the double points.

How to Maximize the Hyatt Double Points Promotion

Here’s how you can maximize the Hyatt double points promotion. Because the more points you earn the more free nights you can enjoy.

Pro-tip: A free night at Hyatt starts at only 5,000 points. And with Points+Cash rates, you can get a free hotel stay with 2,500 points + $50!

3X Points

You can earn 3x points (triple points) on your hotel stay when you book a Double Points rate. Look for the Double Your Points rate offer when booking your room. Not every hotel offers a double points rate. Do the math to check if booking a double point stay is worth the extra cost to earn the extra bonus points.

Change Hotels

Because not every hotel offers a Double Your Points rate, consider changing hotels each night.

Pro-tip: You earn 1 free night at any Category 1 to 4 Hyatt hotel for every 5 different Hyatt brand hotel stays. You can earn 2 free nights per year.

Dining & Spa

During the Double Points promotion, you can earn double points on dining and spa services when you’re staying at that hotel. You can’t earn double points if you’re aren’t a registered guest.

Summary of the Fine Print

  • Double points for Hyatt stays through December 31, 2017
  • You have to register by November 30, 2017
  • Reservations have to be booked through Hyatt.com or the World of Hyatt app
  • Only rooms occupied by the World of Hyatt member can earn double points
  • Points are considered bonus point
  • Bonus points will be posted two to three weeks after your stay

Conclusion

You’ll earn double Hyatt points on stays through December 31, 2017. Registration by November 30, 2017 is required.

All bookings have to be made through the Hyatt website or the World of Hyatt app. You can earn double points on M life hotels if booked through Hyatt.

There is no maximum number of points you can earn.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for beginning travel hackers. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 60,000 points (after spending $4,000 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 2X points on travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.
