You can use Hyatt points to stay at all-inclusive hotels for free.
The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and the Hyatt Zilara Cancun can be booked with Hyatt Gold Passport Points.
The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is a beachfront, all suite, family friendly, all-inclusive hotel.
Hyatt Zilara Cancun is also a beachfront all-inclusive, all suite resort, however, it is adults-only (16 years old and older).
However, unlike other all-inclusive hotels where you pay one price for your all-inclusive stay, both the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos and the Hyatt Zilara Cancun offer two all-inclusive options: standard and a premium plan.
Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
Standard all-inclusive benefits:
- All suite rooms
- Meals at all hotel restaurants including room service
- Live music and performances
- Unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks
- Activities during the day and night
- Fitness Center and pools
- Basic Wi-Fi Internet Access
- All resort taxes and gratuities
The optional Club Premium Plan includes:
- Premium ocean-view suite

Hyatt Zilara Cancun

- All resort taxes and gratuities
The optional Club Premium Plan includes:
- Spacious Suites with balcony or terrace

Using Hyatt Points
Hyatt has a different award chart for the Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara.
Hyatt All-Inclusive Award Chart
The award chart lists “Standard Room” and “Suite Night.” Where standard rooms are defined as their entry level junior suite and suite nights are the Club Level Premium rooms.
Hyatt Ziva Standard Room
It costs 20,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points a night (single or double occupancy) to stay at the Hyatt Ziva in a standard room.
You will pay 10,000 points a night for each additional person (age 3 years old and older) up to a maximum of 4 people per room.
So a family of four will pay 40,000 points a night (20,000 + 10,000 + 10,000).
But, the maximum occupancy for standard junior suites is 2 adults and 2 children.
At the Hyatt Ziva, children are age 12 and under. Everyone age 13 years old and older is considered an adult.
If your kids are 13 and older, you have to get two rooms. Thankfully, the cost for two rooms is the same as one room with 2 adults and 2 children.
Hyatt Ziva Suite Night
It costs 32,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points a night (single or double occupancy) to stay at the Hyatt Ziva in a Club Premium suite.
Each additional guest (age 3 years old and older) will cost 10,000 points a night, up to a maximum of 4 people per room.
A family of four will pay 52,000 points per night (32,000 + 10,000 + 10,000).
Because the maximum occupancy for standard junior suites is 2 adults and 2 children, if your children are 13 years old or older, you have to get two rooms.
Two Suite Night rooms for a family of four (whose children are 13 years old or older) will cost 64,000 points a night (32,000 + 32,000).
Hyatt Zilara Standard Room
It costs 25,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points a night (single or double occupancy) to stay at the Hyatt Zilara in a standard suite.
Additional guests are charged 12,500 points a night. A maximum of 4 people per room are allowed in standard rooms.
A family of four (with children age 16 and older) or four friends (or two couples) will pay 50,000 points a night (25,000 + 12,500 + 12,500).
Hyatt Zilara Suite Night
It costs 40,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points a night (single or double occupancy) to stay at the Hyatt Zilara in a Club Premium suite.
Each additional guest, up to a maximum of 4 per room, will cost 12,500 points a night.
A family of four (with children age 16 and older) or four friends (or two couples) will pay 65,000 points a night (40,000 + 12,500 + 12,500).
Charging For Kids
Some people are unhappy that additional post are required for children.
If Hyatt were charging additional points at a standard Hyatt hotel, I’d be unhappy as well.
However, I believe the additional charge for extra guests in a room (even if they are children) is fair.
Since Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara are all-inclusive resorts, it’s only natural to require additional points for additional guests on an award stay. As there are additional charges for additional guests on a paid stay.
This is standard practice for all-inclusive resorts – each additional guest pays, even if they are children.
Diamond Benefits
Currently, Platinum and Diamond Elite status members will not have a dedicated check-in area or guaranteed room availability. Hyatt hasn’t addressed the issue of if Diamond Suite upgrades will apply or not.
