Credit card bonuses frequently change and not always for the better. That’s why you should get the World of Hyatt credit card now.

Why You Should Get the World of Hyatt Credit Card Now

If you have the old Hyatt card read this post to find out who should and who shouldn’t upgrade their card.

After upgrading, here’s what to expect when you upgrade your Hyatt card.

The World of Hyatt card current bonus is 50,000 points, but it’s tiered.

You earn the first 25,000 points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first three months.

When you spend another $3,000 in the first six months you’ll earn an extra 25,000 points.

This offer has ended.

The new offer is 30,000 points after spending $3,000 on purchase in the first 3 months. You can also earn an extra 30,000 points by spending $15,000 on nonbonus category purchases in the first 6 months.

You also get:

  • 2 elite night credits for each night you stay through December 31, 2021 (for new applicants who apply by September 30, 2021)
  • 1 free Category 1 to 4 hotel night every year
  • 4 points per $1 spent at Hyatt hotels
  • 2 points per $1 spent on airline tickets, transit, fitness club & gym memberships
  • 1 point per $1 spent on all other purchases
  • 5 elite night credits each year
  • 2 elite night credits with every $5,000 you spend (unlimited)
  • No foreign transaction fees

World of Hyatt Card New Bonus

The World of Hyatt card new bonus changes on January 10, 2019.

You’ll still get a free night every year, bonus points for spending, and elite night credits.

But if you get the World of Hyatt card on or after January 10, 2019, you’ll get less Hyatt points.

Here’s what the Hyatt card bonus will look like on January 10, 2019.

You can earn the first 25,000 points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first three months.

After spending another $6,000 in the first six months you’ll earn an extra 25,000 points.

This offer has ended. The new offer is 30,000 points after spending $3,000 on purchase in the first months. You can also earn an extra 30,000 points by spending $15,000 on nonbonus category purchases in the first 6 months.

Instead of earning 60,000 points, it drops to 50,000 points.

While 10,000 Hyatt points may not seem that much, it’s more significant than it seems.

Instead of losing 10,000 points you could lose 15,000 points.

Because some people forget about the second spending tier.

So instead of earning 40,000 points, they’ll only earn 25,000 points.

That’s why you should get the World of Hyatt card now, before January 10, 2019.
