Your points will go farther this summer. You will get a 10% rebate on Hyatt points redeemed between July 1 and September 2, 2019.
This includes points used for free nights, upgrades, FIND experiences and all the ways you can use your Hyatt points. The rebate offer is a good deal for stays at Hyatt all-inclusive hotels especially when you can get 60% of your points back.
10% Rebate on Hyatt Points
Now’s the time to start using your Hyatt points because you’ll get 10% of your points back when you use them for stays from July 1 to September 2, 2019.
With the 10 percent rebate on Hyatt points, you’ll pay fewer points. There’s no limit to how many points you can get back. So the more Hyatt points you redeem, the more points you’ll get back.
You have to have a Hyatt or World of Hyatt credit card and register for the promotion by July 15, 2019.
Pro-tip: There’s time for you to get a World of Hyatt card to take advantage of the 10% rebate offer.
Maximize This Promotion
You can maximize this promotion when you can stack promotions like the save 50% on award nights at Miraval stays through August 31, 2019.
Seven Ways to Get Your Hyatt Points Back
You can redeem Hyatt points for a lot of things including car rentals. But only these seven types of redemptions count for the 10% rebate offer.
Free Nights
When you use your Hyatt points for free nights at Hyatt hotels from July 1 to September 2, 2019, you’ll get back 10 percent of your total points redeemed.
So a Category 7 hotel like the Park Hyatt Maldives will cost 27,000 points instead of 30,000 points.
Pro-tip: Find out if the Park Hyatt Maldives meal plan is worth it.
Points + Cash Rates
You save both points and money when you use points + cash rates.
Although, it’s not as great a deal as it was when it was the cash portion was a fixed rate. This promotion saves you an extra 10% on your points.
Upgrades
You can use Hyatt points to upgrade your room.
With the 10% rebate, you can upgrade to a Regency or Grand Club room for 2,700 points per night. A Suite upgrade would cost 5,400 and only 8,200 points for a Premium Suite upgrade.
Food
You can also use Hyatt points to pay for your food purchases at participating Hyatt hotels:
- $10 for 2,000 Hyatt points
- $25 for 5,000 Hyatt points
- $50 for 10,000 Hyatt points
- $75 for 12,000 Hyatt points
- $100 for 15,000 Hyatt points
- $150 for 20,000 Hyatt points
- $250 for 32,000 Hyatt points
- $500 for 60,000 Hyatt points
- $1,000 for 120,000 Hyatt points
This isn’t a good use of points. It’s cheaper to pay for your food instead of points. Assuming you earn points at a rate of 1 point per $1 spent, redeeming 10,000 points for a $50 meal means you paid $10k!
Even if you earned points from a credit card bonus you’re paying more than what your food costs. Only do this is if you are point heavy and cash poor.
Spa
Hyatt points can be traded for spa treatments in the same ratio as food redemptions:
- $10 for 2,000 Hyatt points
- $25 for 5,000 Hyatt points
- $50 for 10,000 Hyatt points
- $75 for 12,000 Hyatt points
- $100 for 15,000 Hyatt points
- $150 for 20,000 Hyatt points
- $250 for 32,000 Hyatt points
- $500 for 60,000 Hyatt points
- $1,000 for 120,000 Hyatt points
Generally not a good idea to use your Hyatt points for spa services. But if your Hyatt points are going to expire and have no plans or ways to get more Hyatt points before they expire, then it could be worth it.
Pro-tip: You can extend your point expiration date by transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt from cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.
FIND Experiences
You can pay for unique activities through the World of Hyatt FIND Experiences program with your Hyatt points.
During this offer, you’ll get 10% of those points back
Pro-tip: Pay with your World of Hyatt card and earn 4 bonus points for a total of 14 points per dollar spent.
Exhale
With the 10% rebate on Hyatt points offer, it could be time to try the Exhale program.
You can use 2,000 points for a fitness class or 12,000 points for a 60-minute massage or facial.
Pro-tip: Combine the rebate offer with the Week of Wellbeing perk where Explorists and Globalists get 25% spa therapies.
