Pay with your Freedom card to earn 5X points or 5% cash back on purchases of up to $1,500 at the grocery store, on select streaming service purchases, and the gym and fitness center.

This means you’ll get $75 or 7,500 points.

The Chase Freedom is one of our favorite no annual fee cards.  It’s one of the 10 best balance transfer cards with 0% intro APR.

Sometimes life happens and you can’t pay your balance in full. The Chase Freedom gives 0% APR for 15 months on balance transfers.

Pro-tip: You can use your Chase Freedom points for free hotel rooms and airline tickets when you transfer the points to your Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card.

How to Maximize This Offer

Grocery Stores

Spending $1,500 at grocery stores over three months isn’t that hard to do. Especially now. So it’s easy to maximize this offer.

Many grocery stores sell gift cards such as Visa gift cards, restaurant gift cards, and gas gift cards. You can buy $1,500 in gift cards and earn 5% cash back or 5X points.

If your grocery store doesn’t sell gift cards you could stock up on buying snacks and other items. It could be worth buying things now that you plan to use in a few months to get the extra cashback and 5X points.

Pro-tip: Here’s another easy way to max out your Chase Freedom bonus at the grocery store.

Select Streaming Services

You can maximize the 5X category bonus on your Chase Freedom card by changing your billing information on these select streaming services:

  • Apple Music
  • Disney+
  • ESPN+
  • FuboTV
  • Google Play
  • Hulu
  • Netflix
  • Pandora
  • SiriusXM
  • Sling
  • Spotify
  • Vudu
  • YouTube

Charges for Amazon Prime aren’t eligible for bonus points. 🙁

Pro-tip: The name on the Netflix account has to match the name on the credit card. So you can’t use your partner’s card, or a friend’s. 🙁

Fitness Clubs and Gym Memberships

It could be a little difficult to spend $1,500 on fitness clubs and gym memberships for the new few months. But you can still maximize the bonus.

Some gym memberships like ClassPass, Orangetheory, and Planet Fitness offer online fitness classes and training.

Here’s the list of participating fitness centers and gym memberships that qualify for the offer:
  • 24 HOUR FITNESS
  • ACAC
  • ALO MOVES
  • BAILEY’S HEALTH & FITNESS
