Hilton Points Unlimited

Got or planning to stay at a Hilton hotel soon? There's still time to take advantage of the Hilton Points Unlimited promotion through April 30, 2018. Keep reading to find out how to maximize this offer. www.travelingwellforless.com

You’ll earn 2,000 Hilton points on every stay at Hilton hotels worldwide (except Hampton hotels in mainland China) through April 30, 2018. Plus you’ll earn an extra 10,000 points for every five stays.

There’s no limit to how many points you can earn. But don’t make the same mistake I did with my stay at the Hilton Narita and forget to register prior to your checkout.

Only HiltonHonors members can take advantage of this promotion so be sure to join HiltonHonors if you haven’t already. It’s free and takes only a few minutes to sign up.

Earning unlimited Hilton points sounds like a good deal. But the best way to maximize this promotion is if you have Hilton elite status.

Pro-tip:

How to Take Advantage of This Deal

If you have elite status with Hilton you’ll earn more points in addition to the bonus points. You can get free elite status with these credit cards:

As a Silver elite member, you’ll earn 15% more points on top of the 2,000 points per stay. Gold members earn a 25% bonus, and Diamond elites earn a 50% bonus.

*Enrollment is required for select benefits

Pro-tip: Got status with another hotel? Match your status to Hilton through March 31, 2019. Note this offer can only be used once for the lifetime of the status match promotion.

Frequentmiler has a great guest post on how to stay for free for Gold or Diamond members. You pay with points at Category 1 hotels in countries like Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Your point cost is offset by the points you earn so your stay is free.

If you can’t travel to other countries during this promotion, here’s how many points you can earn if you have Gold or Diamond status.

How Many Points You’ll Earn at Hilton Hotels

You earn additional bonus points as a Gold and Diamond member each time you stay at Hilton hotels. The exact number of points varies depending on which hotel.

1,000 Point Hotels

  • Conrad Hotels & Resorts
  • Curio – A Collection by Hilton
  • DoubleTree by Hilton
  • Hilton Hotels & Resorts
  • Hilton Grand Vacations (Diamonds earn 2,000 points per stay)
  • Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts

750 Point Hotels

  • Hilton Garden Inn

500 Point Hotels

  • Canopy by Hilton (Diamonds earn 1,000 points per stay)
  • Embassy Suites Hotels (Diamonds earn 1,000 points per stay)

250 Point Hotels

  • Hampton by Hilton
  • Homewood Suites by Hilton

100 Point Hotels

  • Home2 Suites by Hilton

Maximize this Offer as a Gold Member

As a Gold member, if your hotel costs $100 a night and you’re staying at one the 1,000 point hotels you’ll earn 4,250 points during this promotion. Here’s how it breaks down:

  • 1,000 points for your stay (10 points per $1 spent)
  • 250 point bonus as a Gold member
  • 1,000 bonus points if staying at a 1,000 point hotel like the Hilton
  • 2,000 bonus points for Hilton unlimited promo

Pro-tip: Because you earn 2,000 bonus Hilton points for each stay, this is where one night stands pay off.

By bouncing between 1,000 point hotels you can earn 4,250 points per night. For a 2-night stay, you’d earn 8,500 points. Five-night stays would earn 21,250 points. And if you stay one week, you’ll earn 29,750 points!

Earn More as a Diamond Member

Let’s look at what a Diamond member would earn at a $100 a night 1,000 point bonus hotel. As a Diamond, you’ll earn 4,500 points. Here’s the breakdown:

  • 1,000 points for your stay (10 points per $1 spent)
  • 500 point bonus as a Diamond member
  • 1,000 bonus points if staying at a 1,000 point hotel like the Hilton
  • 2,000 bonus points for Hilton unlimited promo

Remember because the bonus points are based on stays versus nights, if you change hotels each night, you’ll earn double the points. Two-night stays earn 9,000 points. A five-night stay earns 22,500 points. If you stay a week, you’ll get 31,500 points.

Pro-tip: Diamonds earn 1,000 points per stay at Canopy and Embassy Suites hotels and 2,000 points per stay at Hilton Grand Vacations.

Summary of the Fine Print

  • Earn 2,000 points per stay worldwide at Hilton hotels except for Hampton hotels in mainland China through April 30, 2018
  • Get an extra 10,000 points after five stays
  • Register for the promotion by April 30, 2018
