Share with a friend

Free travel? Free college education? Those are just a few of the discounts you can get if you’re in the military. And now, you can get special rates at Hyatt. Here’s how to get discounted veteran and military rates at Hyatt hotels.

No worries, if you’re not the one serving or who have served.

The discounts also apply to immediate family members of veterans and military members.

How to Get Discounted Veteran and Military Rates at Hyatt

The World of Hyatt is adding another benefit to their program by offering a veteran and military rate.

Discounted veteran and military rates of 10% to 15% begin today at participating Hyatt hotels in the US.

You have to use offer code MILVET on the Hyatt website or when calling Hyatt to get the discount.

The rate applies to up to 2 rooms per stay and is not combinable with other discounts. The 10% to 15% applies to the standard rate.

Pro-tip: But you only earn elite night credit for one room.

There are a limited number of rooms available for veterans and military at the discounted rate.

Blackout dates may apply. So be sure to book early.

Family Members Eligible

Immediate family members are eligible to use the promo code. This includes parents, children/legal wards, spouses and domestic partners.

I love that Hyatt is allowing family members to use the discount. There’s nothing in the terms that say you have to be traveling with the veteran or military member.

So this is a great way for military families to get a little rest and relaxation.

A valid military ID, DD-214, or proof of service may be required when you check in.

Pro-tip: The discounted rate earns Hyatt points.

Excluded Hotels

The veteran and military rate is only valid at participating Hyatt hotels in the US.

Some hotels are specifically excluded:

  • Miraval resorts
  • M life Rewards destinations
  • Small Luxury Hotels of the World properties
  • Hyatt Residence Club resorts
