But do the math because it might not be worth paying $50 more a year in annual fees than the card_name.
The Companion Pass Offer
For this offer, you’ll earn the Companion Pass through December 31, 2019.
That’s not quite a year of free travel. But 10 months is better than 0 months.
But this offer expires on February 11, 2019.
Southwest Companion Pass
What exactly is the Companion Pass?
With the Southwest Companion Pass, you can get up to 2 years of free flights on Southwest for your travel companion.
This means you can bring someone to fly with you for free!
You only pay the $5.60 airport taxes.
Up to two years of free flights! Yep, you’re going to be hearing from a lot of “friends.”
There’s no limit on how often you can use your Companion Pass. You could fly every day, several times a day, or once a month. It’s your choice.
Normally, you have to earn 110,000 points in a calendar year to earn the Southwest Companion Pass. But this offer lets you earn it after meeting the minimum spend on the card_name, card_name, or Southwest Rapid Rewards(R) Priority Credit Card.
Who Should Take This Offer
I went into an in-depth analysis of this offer in my post, Southwest Companion Pass from 1 card, so I’ll summarize it here.
This is a great offer if you want to earn your Companion Pass faster and start traveling now.
It’s easy and there’s less of a spending requirement.
Pro-tip: If you don’t have a business or are almost at your limit of Chase cards (5/24) this is the offer you’re looking for.
If You Have a Business
If you can get a business card, you can maximize this offer.
The card_name has a bonus of 60,000 points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months of account opening.
If you apply for one of the personal Southwest cards: card_name, card_name, or the Southwest Rapid Rewards(R) Priority Credit Card AND the card_name, you’d earn 114,000 points. (50,000 points from a personal card + 60,000 points from the business card + 4,000 points from the minimum spending.)
Then if you earn another 21,000 points by the end of the year, your Southwest Companion Pass will be valid through December 31, 2020. That’s two years of free flights!

Pro-tip: You can transfer points from cards like the card_name, card_name, card_name, and card_name to Southwest.
Those points won’t qualify for the Companion Pass but you can use them to book flights.
Who Shouldn’t Take This Offer
If you don’t fly Southwest, have 0 points, or currently have a Southwest card, this isn’t the offer for you.
