Last Day to Get a 50% Bonus on Choice Points

Share with a friend

Today is the last day to get a 50% bonus on Choice points.

You can use Choice points to book hotel rooms in over 40 countries. Points can be transferred to airlines like Southwest where you can redeem them for free flights. Choice points used to count towards earning the Southwest Companion Pass so you could fly free for two years. But that’s no longer the case.

Choice has over 6,800 hotels worldwide, making it one of the largest hotel brands. Because they have so many hotels, it can make sense to buy hotel points, especially during a sale.

3.  Choose how many points you want to buy
4.  Pay with your credit card

Pro-tip: Buying Choice points doesn’t count as a travel purchase so you won’t get bonus points from cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card. But you’ll get 3X points when you use your Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card on the first $150,000 spent on travel and select business categories.

Should You Buy Choice Points?

Should you buy Choice points? Possibly.

Choice generally charges less than other hotels for free night awards so you can find some great values.

When you buy points during a promotion you’ll save more money. But you should have a plan to use them instead of stocking up. Because like most hotel programs, your points will expire in 18 months if you don’t earn or use them.

If you travel during summer, the holidays, or spring break, buying points can save you a lot of money.
