The 100,000 mile bonus has ended. You can earn a 75,000 mile early spend bonus (equal to $750 in travel) on the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first three months of account opening. You get up to a $100 credit for Global Entry and TSA PreCheck.

The Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card offers:

  • $300 annual credit for bookings made with Capital One Travel
  • Up to $100 credit for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry
  • Free airport lounge access
  • Complimentary unlimited admission to Capital One Lounges
  • Free Hertz President’s Circle status
  • 10,000 miles every card anniversary (equal to $100 in travel)

Why Get the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card

Big bonuses don’t come around that often. When they do, that’s when you want to take advantage of them. But only IF the card works for you.

There are lots of great features about the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card.

Airline and Hotel Transfer Partners

You get access to additional airline and hotel transfer partners not offered through Chase Ultimate Rewards and American Express Memberships Rewards.

Capital One miles transfer to 16 airline and hotel transfer partners. This gives you lots of options for free flights on airlines that are harder to earn miles with like Singapore Airlines and Etihad.

Pro-tip: You can fly one-way to Hawaii for 7,500 miles!

Airport Lounge Access

With the Capital One Venture X card, you have more options for free airport lounge access.

You get to use the Priority Pass lounges (over 1,300 lounges worldwide) and the Capital One Lounges. Right now only the Capital One Lounge at Dallas Fort Worth Airport is open. But the Denver Airport and Washington Dulles Airport lounges are expected to open soon.

Pro-tip: Your Venture X card Priority Pass perk includes airport restaurants. This is a great perk for when there isn’t a lounge and you want to grab a meal and/or drink before or after your flight.

Free Authorized Users

You can add authorized users to your Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit card at no extra cost.

Authorized users get many of the same benefits as the primary cardholder like the Priority Pass benefit and Hertz President’s Circle elite status.

Each authorized user can also use the Priority Pass benefit which includes bringing up to two free guests into the lounge.

And yes, you can add your children as authorized users to your credit cards.

Pro-tip: Authorized users also get the Priority Pass restaurant benefit

Who Shouldn’t Get the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card

While the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card’s 100,000 early spend bonus is enticing, it’s not for everyone.

You might have difficulty meeting the minimum spending requirements even with unusual and creative ways to earn unlimited miles and points.

The airline transfer partners don’t fit with your travel plans. If you don’t do much international travel, you may not get many benefits from Capital One airline partners.

If you do a lot of travel within the United States, Caribbean, and Mexico, the one card Southwest Companion Pass might be a better offer for you.

With the one card Southwest Companion Pass offer, you only have to spend $4,000 and you get a Companion Pass.

If you don’t qualify for or aren’t able to get a business card to maximize this offer, this is the best offer for you because you can earn the Companion Pass fast and with less spending.

Able to get a business card? Consider the Capital One Spark Cash Plus card because of the $3,000 early spend bonus.
