I was in Vegas for the Park MGM Las Vegas reopening. I stayed at the hotel and did a walk through of the Park MGM Las Vegas Hotel and Casino and the pool complex.

The Park MGM is the only smoke-free casino on the Las Vegas strip.

Awesome for those of us who are nonsmokers and for those who want to limit their second hand smoke exposure.

The Park MGM, formerly the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, offers 2,992 rooms including 259 suites and 1,400 slots.

When the Park MGM Las Vegas was the Monte Carlo, I stayed here often after Mlife and Hyatt partnership. It made for cheap mattress runs and Hyatt stays. Plus the VIP lounge wasn’t too shabby.

Pro-tip: You can use your Mlife benefits such as discounted hotel rates at the Park MGM Las Vegas.

In this video, you’ll see which Park MGM restaurants and bars are open and which are still closed so you know what to expect for your Las Vegas vacation.

Because this Vegas trip was part of a larger road trip, I drove.

Pro-tip: You may want to fly because flights on Frontier to Las Vegas and on Spirit are really inexpensive.

You’ll find great bargains on Vegas hotels even at hotels like the Park MGM.

Which is your favorite Instagram spot at the Park MGM Las Vegas ?

Chase Sapphire Preferred

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is the best card for beginning travel hackers. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 60,000 points (after spending $4,000 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 2X points on travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.

Chase Freedom Unlimited

The Chase Freedom Unlimited is one of my favorite cards for earning cash back card and travel rewards. It offers a welcome offer of $200 (after spending $500 in the first three months).

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5% cash back at grocery stores the first 12 months (up to $12k), unlimited 1.5% cash back on all purchases and no annual fee. When paired with cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, you can use your points to travel for free.
