Vdara Pool Tour

The Vdara pool at the all-suite Vdara Hotel & Spa Las Vegas is located on level 3 of the resort.

The pool complex is 40,000 square feet and consists of the main pool, a hot tub, and three semi-private pools for the exclusive use of cabana guests.

It's a much smaller area that the Park MGM Las Vegas Pool.

Open to All Ages

Open to all ages, there is not an adults-only option. Children under 14 need to have an adult with them when using the pool.

Food & Drinks

You can't bring food or drinks in the pool. So no cocktails while lounging by the pool's edge.

But you can enjoy your beverages and snacks at the separate eating area or while sitting on your lounger, relaxing on your daybed, or resting in your cabana.

Solar Convergence or Death Ray

Be careful when at the pool. Like the Aria Las Vegas, the Vdara resort is a glass-faced building. The sun's rays reflect from the building directly on the rooftop pool area.

Called the 'Death ray', guests have been burnt and suffered singed hair while at the pool.

Be sure to use and reapply sunscreen often, wear a hat or baseball cap, and stay hydrated.

You may want to consider renting a daybed or cabana.

Cabanas and Daybeds

Cabanas and daybeds are available. Rental prices vary depending on the day of the week, month, and cabana location.

Pro-tip: Booking a cabana and daybed for Monday through Wednesday is cheaper than Thursday through Saturday. You can check the Vdara website for current prices.

The 13 Daybeds rentals include a free fruit plate, free soft drinks (limited), and unlimited water.

There are two types of cabanas: 10 access cabanas and nine escape cabanas.

All cabanas include a free fruit plate, six cans of non-alcoholic beverages (Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite), unlimited water, a refrigerator, TV and media center, up to 4 lounge chairs, a ceiling fan with misters, and a personal safe.

The Access Cabanas are by the main pool and accommodate six people.

If you want privacy, you should book an Escape Cabana. Escape Cabana guests have exclusive access to the semi-private plunge pool.

Smaller than the Access Cabanas, Escape Cabanas accommodate four people.

Pro-tip: If you want a specific cabana or daybed, be sure to arrive early.

Vdara Hotel & Spa Pool Hours

The Vdara pool is open seasonally.

When closed, you can use the Aria Pool.

I visited Vdara in October as part of a Las Vegas road trip to several national parks. You can fly Southwest, Spirit, or Frontier to Las Vegas and rent a car if you plan on doing day trips from Las Vegas.
