The new award chart for free nights at Hyatt hotels starts on March 22, 2022, at 8 am CST. You should make your bookings for stays through the rest of the year and into next year by March 21, 2022.
Here’s the complete list of all Hyatt hotels changing categories and what you should do to save money. Seventy hotels will cost you more points and 76 hotels will cost less.
All hotels are increasing or decreasing one category. Except for the Hyatt Place Moab, it is increasing two categories.
If you’re planning to reach Globalist status with inexpensive hotel stays like category 1 and 2 hotels, you’ll want to pay particular attention to those hotels that are increasing in category.
New World of Hyatt Award
You’ll pay more to stay at 70 Hyatt hotels after March 22, 2022, when the new World of Hyatt award chart changes.
When a hotel goes up a category, the points + cash rate also increases.
Pro-tip: After March 22, 2022, you won’t be able to use a free night award at some hotels. This applies to category 1 to 4 free night awards and the Category 1 to 7 free night award earned as a 60-night milestone reward.

Pro-tip: Pay attention to the hotels that are moving from Category 4 to 5. Because you won’t be able to use your annual free night from your World of Hyatt card at those hotels.
Remember you don’t have to stay before March 22, 2022. You just have to book your stay before that date.

World of Hyatt automatically refunds the point difference on stays after March 22, 2020. But play it safe and call just in case.

If you modify or change reservations made before March 22, 2022, and the hotel went up a category, you will pay more points.
This means if you change your reservation on March 22, 2022, or later, you’ll pay the new higher point cost.
