Get Up to a 40% Bonus on Hyatt Points

Share with a friend

Hyatt’s on a roll this summer with another bonus. You can get up to a 40% bonus on Hyatt points. Your mystery bonus will be revealed when you sign in. I was offered 40% so this might be the maximum. Let me know if you were given a higher offer.

With the Andaz double stay credit offer, the 50% award night rebate at Miraval, a 10% rebate on redeemed Hyatt points, the 2,500 bonus point offer, and points for upgrading your Hyatt card, an offer to buy points is icing on the cake. These offers are stackable.

World of Hyatt is offering a mystery bonus promotion when you buy points. You can get up to a 40% bonus on Hyatt points when you buy Hyatt points by August 21, 2018.

You have to use the link and log into your World of Hyatt account to reveal your bonus offer. To get the bonus you have to buy at least 5,000 points. You can buy up to 55,000 points per year.

Pro-tip: Purchased points do not count towards World of Hyatt elite status.

Are Buying Points Worth it?

I’ve written about the only time you should buy hotel points. Buying points on sale can be a great deal when you combine it with current Hyatt offers:

Plus it’s a good way to meet minimum spending on new credit cards.

Hyatt points cost 2.4 cents per point. But with this promotion, you can buy points for 1.71 cents per point with this promotion.

You can book free nights at Hyatt for 5,000 points a night. Buying points can make sense if you stay at hotels during the summer, holidays, summer, and other peak times when rooms are expensive.

With the 40% bonus, you could buy 77,000 Hyatt points for $1,320. That’s 15 free nights at a Category 1 hotel like the Hyatt Regency Yogyakarta in Indonesia. Or 2 nights at the Park Hyatt Maldives.

Because award nights count towards elite status, buying points for cheap means you can reach elite status faster.

Pro-tip: If you’ve upgraded to the new World of Hyatt credit card, you earn free nights for spending.

Conclusion

You can get up to a 40% bonus on Hyatt points when you buy points by August 21, 2018.

Because it’s a mystery offer, you have to use this link and log into your World of Hyatt account to reveal your bonus offer.

Minimum purchase to get a bonus is 5,000 points with a maximum purchase of 55,000 points.

If you travel in the summer, during the holidays, or other peak travel period, buying points can save money on your hotel room. Because often it’s cheaper to buy points and use them for your hotel instead of paying cash for your room.
