How to Earn Caesars Diamond Status Without Gambling

Share with a friend

Did you know you can earn Caesars Diamond status without gambling? There are six ways to earn Caesars Diamond for the non-gambler or occasional gambler. Hacking Diamond status is as easy as travel hacking a trip to Las Vegas.

With cheap hotel nights and no resort fees, you can save your points for stays at other destinations like Hawaii, Belize, or the Maldives.

Caesars Diamond Status

Caesars Diamond Status is the top status in the Caesars Rewards loyalty program reachable without an invitation. The highest level of Caesars Rewards membership is Seven Stars, but it is via invite-only.

As a Diamond, you get great perks. The most valuable regardless of which Caesars properties you visit are no resort fees, free parking (valet and self-parking), priority lines, free show tickets, lounge access, and a yearly $100 Diamond celebration dinner.

These perks alone can save you several hundreds of dollars on a single visit. If you visit Las Vegas, Atlantic City, or other Caesars Resort cities often, you’ll save thousands of dollars.

Pro-tip: One secret perk of Diamond status is that in addition to using the Caesars Palace Pool, you can use all the pools at Caesars resort without being a hotel guest.

Within Diamond status, there are three levels based on earned tier credits:

  • Diamond – after earning 15,000 tier credits
  • Diamond Plus – after earning 25,000 tier credits
  • Diamond Elite – after earning 75,000 tier credits

Tier credits are earned by gambling, hotel stays, dining, shopping, and amenity experiences. The exact number of tier credits varies depending on the activity.

For example, slots earn 1 tier credit for every $5 (some machines pay less), video poker earns 1 tier credit for every $10 (some machines pay less), and hotel stays earn 5 tier credits for every $1.

Reaching Diamond status via gambling would require $75,000 on slots, $150,000 on video poker, or $3,000 in hotel charges.

Pro-tip: Tier bonuses are not included in the above calculations. You get a 10,000 tier credit bonus when you earn 5,000 tier credits in a single day.

With the tier bonus, you could earn Diamond status after $50,000 in slot play and $100,000 on video poker.

And if you play on 5X tier days, your tier credits are multiplied by 5!

Most players and the occasional gambler like myself may find it challenging to reach Diamond status.

Thankfully, there are several quick, easy, and less expensive ways to get Caesars Diamond status including earning Diamond in a Day.

Status Match

The cheapest way to earn Caesars Diamond status is through a status match.

Casino Loyalty Program

New Caesars Rewards members can match similar tier status from another casino loyalty program. It can take up to 10 days to match to Diamond. Your new status is valid through January 31, 2022.

You can extend your status through January 31, 2023 by earning 1,250 tier credits before the year ends.

You earn tier credits from hotel stays, dining, shopping, and gambling at Caesars’ casinos. Hotel stays through the end of the year earn 5x tier credits for every $1 spent through December 31, 2021.

So a $250 stay (one night or multiple nights) not including taxes would earn 1,250 tier credits. And you’d have Diamond through January 31, 2023.

Pro-tip: This offer ends December 31, 2021.

Hotel Loyalty Program

If you don’t gamble or rarely gamble, chances are likely that you won’t have status in another casino loyalty program. There’s another way to status match that doesn’t involve large sums of money.

You can match your elite hotel loyalty program status to Caesars Diamond.

Wyndham

The easiest way to get Caesars Diamond status is to match with Wyndham Diamond. Wyndham has a status match agreement with Caesars.

You can match your status in Wyndham to that of Caesars and vice versa. This means that if you’re a Wyndham Diamond, you can match that to Caesars Diamond.

You can earn Wyndham Diamond after 24 paid nights at any Wyndham hotel. Or you can shortcut your way with the Wyndham Earners Rewards Business card.

This card gives you free Wyndham Diamond status when you’re approved for the card.

Other Hotel Elite Status

If you don’t have a business and/or can’t get the Wyndham Earners Rewards Business card, you can match the following hotel status to Wyndham Diamond:

Pro-tip: This option is only offered at certain times of the year. It takes 5 to 7 days for Wyndham to verify and process.

*Enrollment is required for select benefits.

Stay at Caesars Resorts

You get 5 tier credits per $1 spent on rooms at Caesars Resorts including resort fees. You can earn Caesars Diamond status by having $3,000 in hotel charges.

Note: The 5X tier credit ended December 31, 2021. You now get 1 tier credit per dollar spent on hotel rooms.

This can include your room, dining, spa services, etc. By charging everything to your room, you’ll earn more tier credits.

You can earn Diamond status after one visit.

A week at Caesars Palace in a Forum Classic room at $257 night plus a $45 nightly resort fee would cost $2,099.51 without taxes and earn 10,495 tier credits.

You could easily spend another $901 that week on meals at Caesars restaurants and reach $3,000 in hotel charges.

If you stayed at a less expensive resort like Bally’s Las Vegas in a $100 night resort room plus a $35 a night resort fee, a week would cost $931.61 without taxes and earn 4,655 tier credits.

You’d have to spend $2,069 on food and other charges or have to go to Vegas two more times.

But. You don’t have to spend $3,000 to earn 15,000 tier credits.

When you earn 5,000 tier credits in a day, you get a 10,000 tier credit bonus. For only $1,000 in hotel room charges, you’d earn Caesars Diamond status in one day!

Pro-tip: When eating at any participating Caesars Resort dining establishment, charge all your dining to your room. Because these charges are billed to your room, sometimes you’ll earn 5 tier credits per $1.

Dining at Caesars Resorts

For every $1 spent on dining at Caesars Resorts that isn’t charged to your room, you earn one tier credit. Because you could earn 5 tier credits per $1 for room charges, it makes sense to charge everything to your room.

Shopping

You’ll earn 1 tier credit for each $1 spent on shopping. If you forgot to pack something for your trip to Las Vegas or want a soda or something else to drink, instead of going to CVS or Walgreens, buy it from one of the Caesars shops.

Spa Services

With so many resorts in Las Vegas, you have a choice of spas. If your goal is to get Caesars Diamond status, book your treatments at Caesars Resorts.

You’ll earn 1 tier credit for every $1 spent on spa services and other amenity experiences like golf.

Consider treating yourself to a relaxing day at the pool. Cabana and daybed charges also earn 1 tier credit for every $1 spent.

Founders Card

The fastest way to earn Caesars Diamond status is through a Founders Card membership. Designed for entrepreneurs and business owners, Founders Card offers perks and discounts on business services, lifestyle products, and travel.

One of those perks is free, automatic Caesars Diamond status. The only cost is your Founders Card membership which ranges from $295 to $395 a year.

Significantly less than having to gamble your way to Diamond status. If you only visit Vegas or other Caesars Resort locations once a year, membership in Founders Card can cost less than what you’d pay in resort fees

Conclusion

You can earn Caesars Diamond status without gambling in one of six easy ways.

From status matching your hotel or casino loyalty status with Caesars to getting a Founders Card membership. Earning Caesars Diamond status is easy without spending a cent playing the slots or tables.

Having Caesars Diamond status means you don’t pay resort fees on any stays at Caesars resorts in Las Vegas and worldwide! You also get a yearly $100 Celebration dinner, free show tickets, and really inexpensive room rates, like $8 a day.

Please elaborate the Caesar’s Diamond plus to match Wynn Platinum as you stated in your recent YouTube blog. We are interested in patronizing Wynn’s casino on our next LV trip.

Thank you!

Hi Pornnapas,

The Caesars Diamond match to Wynn Platinum ended on August 31, 2021. It was a temporary promotion from Wynn because they changed their loyalty program. They are no longer matching. If this changes, I'll let you know.

Caesars hotels stays booked directly earn only 1 tier credit per $ in hotel costs (rather than the previous 5 tier credit per $) starting in early January 2022.

Hi Tom,

Yep, unfortunately, Caesars changed it to 1 tier credit per $1 in hotel vs 5.

At the end of the article you mention discounted room rates. How is that offered? For example, if I am not a Caesars Rewards member and I go look at the pricing chart for a given month, the prices I would see would be different than what a Diamond level member would see?

Hi Jack,

Yes, as a Caesars Rewards member you get preferred discounted pricing. So when you sign into your account, your rates will be different than when not signed in. As a Caesars Diamond, you get even lower rates. 😉
