The World of Hyatt’s fall promotion, Bonus Journeys starts soon. You can earn up to triple points at Hyatt hotels for stays through December 15, 2019.

Earn up to Triple Points at Hyatt Hotels

With Hyatt’s Bonus Journeys promotion you can earn up to triple points at Hyatt hotels on eligible spend from September 15, 2019 to  December 15, 2019.

Bonus points kick in starting with your second stay. The exact number of bonus points depends on the Hyatt hotel brand booked.

Reservations at Hyatt Place hotels earn triple points. Bookings at all other Hyatt hotels including their new brands like the Destination Hotels, the M life partner hotels in Las Vegas, and over 200 Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) hotels.

Registration between September 9, 2019 and October 31, 2019 is required.

You can earn a maximum of 200,000 points total: 100,000 points for spending at Hyatt Place hotels and 100,000 points at all other hotels.

All points are considered bonus points so they won’t count towards your base point total nor qualify towards earning Hyatt Globalist status. New to Hyatt Globalist status? Read the ultimate guide on everything you want to know about Hyatt Globalist benefits.

Maximize This Offer

You can maximize this offer by stacking with all current Hyatt offers such as 500 bonus points for booking through the World of Hyatt app, double elite night credits at Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara, bonus points at select hotels, and earn four free nights.

Pro-tip: Stays with a checkout of September 15, 2019 will qualify as a first stay. Because bonus points start with your second stay starting September 15, 2019, you can take advantage of the World of Hyatt’s checkout date qualify rule.

If you have upcoming stays at Hyatt Place, you may want to book an inexpensive double points hotel first so that your second stay starts at Hyatt Place where you’ll earn triple points.

Summary of the Fine Print

To earn bonus points in the Bonus Journeys promotion you have to:

  • Be a member of World of Hyatt. (You can join for free.)
  • Register for the promotion by October 31, 2019
  • Stay between September 15, 2019 to December 15, 2019
  • Points will post two to three weeks after your stay

You can earn up to triple points at Hyatt hotels on your second stay through September 15, 2019 to December 15, 2019.

Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card

The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card is the best card to get started in the world of miles and points. It is the first card you should get to start traveling for free because the welcome offer is 60,000 points after spending $4,000 in the first three months.

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5X points on travel when booked through the Chase portal (2X if direct purchase), 3X points on dining, $50 yearly credit on hotels booked through the Chase portal, no foreign transaction fees, and transferring points to 13 airline and hotel partners like Hyatt, United, and Southwest.

Chase Freedom Unlimited®

The Chase Freedom Unlimited® is one of my favorite cards for earning cash back card and travel rewards. It offers a welcome offer of an additional 1.5% cash back on all your purchases up to $20,000 your first year.

My favorite perks about this card are earning 5% cash back on travel booked through the Chase Travel Portal, 3% cash back at drugstores and restaurants (including delivery and takeout), 1.5% cash back on all other purchases and no annual fee. When paired with cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve® Card or Ink Business Cash® Credit Card, you can use your points to travel for free.

Is it possible to split a reservation (checking out and checking in the next day) so as to have a 2nd stay or will the system count it as one stay ?

Hi Peteco,

Splitting reservations at the same hotel (check in and check out) won't qualify as two separate stays. You have to stay at two different hotels. Hope that helps.
